New York Public Library - Seward Park Branch

My local library is in a wonderfully atmospheric red brick Renaissance revival building. On the first floor, you’ll find an impressive collection of international DVDs that would rival a 1980s video store. The upper floors have kids’ titles and reading nooks with arched windows that offer great light and views of the park. You need a New York Public Library card to check out items, but apply for a temporary card on the New York Public Library website if you’re visiting. Seward Park has an exceptional international DVD collection, from European arthouse films to Chinese films that neighbors in Chinatown can check out.
