If you've never eaten pupusas or Salvadoran food, you have to try La Casita! Casual restaurant for takeout or dine-in and best pupusas in DC; try the chicken (our favorite) or the classic mixta. Closest place to get pupusas -- Salvadoran street food that consists of cheese and other fillings inside thick corn tortilla dough. Fried melty goodness.
