The wells are located within the stunning and lush vegetation that surrounds the village. A place of great historical interest which played an important role during the Venetian domination in the society of Gavalochori. The wells are located just one kilometer outside the village heading east.

Covered with stone semitones, some of the 24 wells that are preserved are built during the Roman period and others in the Archaic, carved into the rock. Most are still operational, meaning they hold water. The Gavalian wells were a gathering center for the inhabitants of the village, since they were the main source of water for the village until the end of the 60's.
