Stedet ligger ca 1 km fra fergekai på Ågskardet, like ved sjøen. God utsikt fra huset, til fjord og fjell i området. Nært Svartisen, Norges nest største isbre. Gode mulighet til fjellturer, både enkle og mer krevende. Kajakkpadling.
Huset er fra 1800-tallet, men renovert og nytt bad i 2017. Opprinnelig stabbur. Utstyrt for enkel matlaging, med hybelkomfyr. Mulighet for fisketurer, og hjelp til tilbereding av egen fangst. Elbillading bare etter avtale på forhånd.
