A walled sanctuary, with a Yoga verandah in the front garden, and a lovely backyard perfect for entertaining and having a braai. Should you wish, Lainess (the housekeeper) will assist with cooking and cleaning. Laundry service is available too. Perfect for a family getaway!

You will be staying with a friendly couple Jay (Malawian) and Siobhain (Australian). We rent out each room individually. Each room has two single beds and a fan. One minute walk to the beach. 15 minute walk to the national park and otters point. Situated close to many lodges, restaurants and bars. There is an outside common area and inside common area to relax. The use of the kitchen is free of charge and you can buy fresh produce within 2 minutes walk from the house.

Lakeview Cottage has two bedrooms with 6 single beds and shared shower, toilet, kitchenette, patio. Ideal for groups touring or working in the Monkey Bay area

The Beach House is ideal for family getaways or get-togethers with friends! Set on the lake front, this spacious double-storey reed house accommodates up to 8 people. Self-catered with a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, braai/BBQ facilities, secure parking for 2 cars, day-time staff to assist and clean, and night watchman. There is now a supermarket in the village a short walk from the Beach House.

Nyanja cottage is a thatched house in the middle of Cape Maclear with stunning views of the lake and direct access to the beach. There are three spacious double bedrooms (all with mosquito nets & fans), a living area, a small kitchen and plenty of car parking space. It is owned by our family who live in the village and will be your hosts during your stay.

Follow the M10 from Mangochi to Cape MacClear, and turn right at the turn-off the Cape MacClear at the Engergen Filling station on your left. Turn right on the gravel road into the village towards the Lake. Find our sign board 2 km from the turn off on the left, Gateway Transformation Center/Guesthouse.
