Quaint Early 1900s Cottage Close to Park, Beach and Hiking
Explore the historic island of Alameda, just a quick ferry or bus ride to San Francisco. Step through the side gate of this tranquil retreat, pick a book from the built-in shelves, or use the cozy private back patio for a nice alfresco cup of coffee, tea or wine. There is also a very small 24 in TV with Netflix, streaming capabilities and local channels in living room. Sofa in living room makes into bed.
We are located close to Webster St with a nice choice of restaurant, pubs and coffee shops as well as stores for shopping. It's a two block walk to Crab Cove beach and Washington Park.
The house is very private. You have your own entrance through the side gate and yard area. It is very quiet with no street sounds. There is a small private seating area in the rear of the cottage with table and chairs and umbrella.
The back yard is a shared yard. Guest have access to small private area in rear of cottage for their private use.
We live in the house in front. The property allows for privacy but we are generally around and are just a text or phone call away.
This is a great walking area with many beautiful Victorian homes and other historic architecture to admire. The property is just blocks away from a lovely beach with views of San Francisco and kite board classes, with breweries and wineries nearby. You will find restaurants and bars within a block for the property. Also, bus stops for getting to SF and beyond are just a block away. The SF/Alameda ferry is less than a mile from the property and is a beautiful way to experience the Bay Area sites.
Alameda is great for walking or biking. We can provide a couple of bikes for guest use. We are located a little over a mile from the ferry terminal with ferry service to San Francisco and one block to bus stop that will take you to directly to San Francisco or to BART (rapid transit).
We provide a fully stocked kitchen with dishes , plates , pots pans ,utensils etc... also some basic pantry items such as salt/pepper, oil, vinegar etc.. There is a Keurig coffee maker for your use also a kettle for tea.
There is a very comfortable self inflating queen bed for extra guests.

Set on a lovely tree-lined street this stately Victorian home is within a 15-minute walk from the beach and numerous parks. Walk to an array of quaint shops, diverse restaurants, pubs, and a cinema along Park Street.
Local neighborhood coffee shops known for their great breakfasts are a couple of blocks away.
Transportation is very convenient. The bus to San Francisco and the Bart system is two blocks and a 5-minute walk from the home.

a five minute walk away. Daily ferry service to San Francisco on the island
about 15 minute drive from the house.
Walk to the beach 10-15 minutes and Park Street great restaurants, shopping and a wonderful restored movie theater. We are very centrally located. Bike rentals available on the island.
Henry and Stella are the two resident English Labradors. Henry is very friendly, loves guests and will more than likely meet you at the front door.
If you enjoy the beach on a warm day, we have a nice beach close by. Let me know I have beach/ sand chairs and beach towels for your use.
