Beginner and Kid Friendly Kayak Tour
Spring is whale season! On our tour, we will focus on the abundant marine creatures, the amazing natural history and rich cultural story of our special area as well as kayaking technique and safety. I am highly versed in the countless animals we'll see on nearly every trip, from seals and sea lions, jellyfish, eagles and other birds.. Even grey whale and orca every now and then! I'm a geology buff, and this area is rich in astounding geologic history. A kayak is an amazing platform from which to discover "The Whidbey Formation" as well as many other Ice Age era features - up close.
Never paddled before? Have kids? No worries! Beginners and little ones as small as 35lbs are absolutely welcome. Guests should be able to paddle at an easy pace for 90 minutes and if you have little ones, they can easily and safely just be passenger in their own seat. We stay close to shore at all times for safety - and better exploring! I use very stable double kayaks.
Kayaking is inherently weather-dependent; if you're unsure if the weather will cooperate on your tour, book with confidence! ANY weather-related cancelations have a 100% refund.
Start times and days are flexible, just inquire! For those with more experience I also offer longer, more involved tours - see "Explore Saratoga Passage by Kayak" and "Kayak with Trains, Creatures, Shipwrecks and a Lighthouse" in Experiences for more info!

Chef Tour of Pike Place Market
We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest.
Other things to note:
The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions.
Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place!
We do book private tours for 9-15 people. Please direct message us to learn more.
Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union.
There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down.
This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer.
Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Our day trip will take you on a special journey; we’re going to have fun, eat well, walk in the wild, and show you our favorite parts of the National Park. Plant Based in Pike Place Food Tour
Plant-based eating shouldn’t have to be a sacrifice. Too often restaurants overlook the opportunity of plant-based cooking, leaving vegans with a disappointing choice between salad or french fries. This tour fixes that.
We curate a vegan tasting menu of the most delicious foods available in Pike Place Market, serving them alongside relevant stories from the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest. You surely don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this food tour!
The Market is for everyone, but it can be overwhelming for newcomers. We provide an insider’s perspective on the who, what, when, why and how of Seattle’s historic farmers’ market, so by the time the tour is over, you won’t need a guide to continue exploring.
Don’t forget your appetite! We visit 10 of the Market’s most beloved food stops, enjoying 12 unique tastings that put on display the best that plant-based eating has to offer.
We work hard to make this tour accessible to everyone. Let us know ahead of time about any food allergies or mobility concerns.
Forest hike to Twin and Snoqualmie Falls
This half day tour is a combination of a moderate 2-hour hike (a few inclines for five minutes) to the Twin Falls close up and a visit to an historic logging town, Snoqualmie, located next to the famous Snoqualmie Falls, which we view, as well.
I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie River to Twin Falls and the Upper Falls (1.3 miles), which is a beautiful cascade of waterfalls.
After the hike we will drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located, to the historic logging town of Snoqualmie. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day.
Then we go to the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.
Hike Mt. Rainier & Taste Yakima Wine!
Join a local nature & wine guide on a small-group trip where you'll combine the best the Northwest has to offer in this full-day adventure: enjoy a beautiful National Park hike with big views of Mt. Rainier, an organic picnic lunch outside , and wine tastings at beloved Northwestern wineries in the Yakima Valley!
First, we'll drive 1.5 hours to Mt. Rainier for a 3-mile nature walk/hike appropriate for most abilities. On a clear day the beautiful, hulking monolith can be seen from just about anywhere. At the height of summer, travelers and locals alike make pilgrimages to her flower-flanked trails for the relaxation, fresh air, and peace that only comes with a walk in a quiet, wild place. Along the way, your guide may even show you which plants are safe to nibble on!
After an organic, gourmet picnic lunch outside - we'll head for the Yakima Valley known for sunshine, Italian, German, and Portuguese grapes, and wines with food-friendly acidity. We'll visit two beloved, locally-owned vineyards in the Yakima Valley AVA. We might visit Wilridge, Owen Roe, Treveri, or others!
After all of that, we'll aim to deliver you safely back to Seattle by dinner time!
Other things to note
