Our annexe apartment is in a lovely rural, farming area, around 10 minutes drive from the village of Cardigos, with it's grocery stores, cafes and 2 great restaurants. The apartment has everything you could need for your stay, with a private entrance up some stairs at the front of the main building, a balcony and garden to catch the sun and watch the beautiful sunsets.
unfortunately our apartment is not suitable for wheelchair access or people with limited mobility due to the entrance by stairs

House of Schist in the center of Portugal
Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.
