My classes are a mix of vinyasa and power yoga set to music. Expect to get your heart rate up and work your core, then settle into your mat for some restorative stretching and a Savasana under the palms! Classes are open to all levels of experience. Classes are small and I offer lots of hands on adjustments and assists We practice in the grass close to the water’s edge with a full view of the ocean. We will reach you difference between Hawaiian Food and Hawaiian Style foods. This private & personal tour ( no more than 4 people) will begin at a local grocery store to sample some of the best poke and spam Musubi in the world. Whenever we travel we always look for the local grocery stores because that's where you will find the best foods and the locals. Then we head to Kalihi for a Manapua tasting and taro chip factory. We then sit for a authentic Hawaiian food lunch and learn the history and how it's made. Every parrot has a story. You’ll learn all about our rainbow-colored rescues in Kona’s only parrot sanctuary. We’ll start with our mission: to give every displaced parrot a nutritious diet, large space to fly, and a safe place to interact with other parrots (and people). Next, we'll take a walk around the sanctuary, where you can get to know the range of personalities of cockatoos, lovebirds, macaws, and more species. Throughout the tour, you will have many photo opportunities, especially with our well-trained parrots. Other things to note: Wear casual clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and bring a camera. Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary is also home to two rescue dogs, two Holstein cows and two sulcata tortoise. We are excited to teach you you how to create your own unique lei po'o (flower crown). You will choose your own tropical flowers and create a unique and beautiful custom piece made with fresh flowers. All of our flowers are locally sourced from local gardens and we support local farmers. We also provide high quality local store bought flowers such as torch ginger, cymbidium orchids, anthuriums, etc. Our workshop is high end because we use high end flowers and natural materials sourced from Polynesia (Lauhala leaves from Tahiti). Your leis will last 3-4 days and will enrich your Hawaii experience tenfold. While making your lei, I will share the cultural meanings of our leis and why we wear them in Hawai'i. A day adventuring in beautiful Iao Valley. I will guide you into the historic Valley, exploring the beautiful lush forest and the clear Iao stream. We will hike past the guided paths and go safely wandering up the stream bed. Touching the local flora and fauna we will experience what it’s like to be deep in the valley with its steep cliffs and photographic vistas. Finding our way upstream we will end at a place where we can swim and enjoy the currents of the stream. Enjoy a snack and rest in the sounds of nature. You will also learn how to identify Hawaiian Endemic Reef Fish, as well as Exhilarating Techniques to catch your dinner, and provide for your Ohana (Family). Meeting Location will be around Anini Beach. ( Specific Location Instructions will be sent to you after booking ) Once united we will promptly begin with a 30 minute safety & educational briefing. After that we will walk to our entry point and partake in a Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony. (A Hawaiian tradition passed down through generations.) As you arrive down our private driveway and park you will be greeted and given a history of the 2018 eruption thru our eyes. A short walk through replanted areas that were covered with volcanic tephra leads to a giant view of fissure 8 and fissure 24. Experience 70 varieties of trees and plants that will produce food. Plenty of time for sharing video links and taking photos. We will show the process of replanting every plant and sharing what it takes to live on the lava. Guest will be able to experience the lava farm up close and personal. We also offer history to other fun things to do near by like hiking, snorkeling, tide pools, museums, waterfalls and thermally heated hidden hot ponds. We are a dog, cat and goat friendly farm. As a private group, each participant will enjoy a fun lesson on horsemanship, safety, and animal connections! There will be many photo opportunities with one of our adorable Miniature horses. Emily and Blake will introduce you to two beautiful miniature horses, the youngest is just learning about people and back reaches only 26 inches tall!
