We will continue until one of my favourite spots, from where we will have 360 degrees views over the multi-peaked rocky range and in clear days we would be able to see the Pyrenees. After admiring those great landscapes taking some pictures and trying some typical Catalan snacks (please bring your own sandwich for lunch) we will start descending through a shady path between the needle formations and forests of the mountain that will bring us back to the Abbey where you will have some free time to visit the farmers market or relax before comming back to Barcelona.

You’ll be welcomed into my opened kitchen and lush garden to master the fine art of cooking the perfect paella, following my grandmother’s recipe. I'll explain how to prepare it and will share with you some stories around that traditional dish. We are going to cook, enjoy wine, tapas and a delicious meal together whilst I give you an insight into one of the most coveted recipes in the world. After a welcome coffee to our XV century old house, we'll go downstairs to the stables to brush and saddle up the horses, and then we'll ride for about two hours across the silent, ancient landscape of Segarra, the Catalan Tuscany, on our way to some small medieval Catalan village. Wheat and barley fields, organic wineyards, old almond and olive trees, hills and slopes furrowed by ancient dry stone walls and incredible views will melt before your sight. Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden before, you'll be a small group so we will be on hand to help, instruct and support you. After riding you can explore our small village and go up to the XI century watchtower to see the amazing views. Then we will cook and share a traditional paella in our garden made with homegrown and very local products, while we talk about life and passions. To me, cooking a Paella for friends and family is the best way to feel the authentic spanish spirit sharing good moments.Using the freshest ingredients and my special recipe, you are ensured a great experience. First of all we start our cooking class making the yummiest paella and some many others Typical Spanish products as manchego cheese,Iberic chorizo ,bread with tomato… You will be offered with glasses of homemade sangria. After it you will learn step by step how to cook your first paella following my family recipe. You will have the chance to participate in the cooking process. Expresso coffee /tea & liquours are included as well. You will try some of the best Spanish wines: Riojas,Ribera del Duero or Verdejo and Albariño (white one). Upon arrival, we'll explore the world-famous monastery. I'll explain some of the legends and symbolism hidden in the monastery. Then we'll take a cable car to one of the top points of the mountain, where we'll admire the breathtaking views. This will be the perfect moment to start a pleasant, soft hike in Montserrat National Park to discover the geology and nature of the mountain. We'll return to the monastery, where you will have some free time. Finally, we'll make our way back to Barcelona. Other things to note Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a snack.
