Its natural materials such as sundried earth walls, timber from onsite, and green roof respond to the nearby mountains. Natural swimmable ponds, provide an oasis for birds and wildlife. The living and kitchen spaces open onto stoeps with a choice of sunshine or shade, garden or sea views. Guests have seasonal access to the swimmable reservoir ponds and year long access to the gardens .

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. Beautiful new cottage, with it's own deck and garden and stylishly furnished to meet your every need. And now with solar installed (April 2023) we have NO LOAD-SHEDDING! We've replaced the oven and hob with a fully gas stove so all appliances can be used during load shedding!
