You can see from almost anywhere in Marseille. it's the very monument that defines the city. If you don't feel like walking all the way up, buses and small trains are a great way to go there

Looking for the closest beach? Look no farther. It's small but it's close and it's a sand beach (instead of pebbles). Take bus 83 from behind the information center or the vieux port.
