My favourite spots for drinks in Madrid.
[Tried + Tested] Areia is a casual, chillout cocktail bar on Hortaleza. It's in the heart of the nightlife scene in and around Alonso Martínez and Chueca.
They have some decent cocktails and long drinks. Great spot to kick off a night out in Madrid.

[Tried + Tested] At Óscar they have a great rooftop terrace with a stunning view overlooking central Madrid. Go for an evening of cocktails with some friends or by yourself to soak in the spectacular sunset views.
It's located near Chueca and Gran Vía, so there's plenty of bars and clubs in the area. It's in the LGBTQ neighbourhood of Madrid.
At the hotel reception, just ask for the rooftop bar and they'll guide you up with the elevator and stairs.

12 Calle de Sta. Teresa[Tried + Tested] Café de París is a bar that gets going fairly late. It's quaint, but loud. It's got great music, a vibrant crowd and strong drinks.
It's a great spot for a night out on the tiles.

[Tried + Tested] Lavinia is a wine shop where you can try the best wines that Spain has to offer, as well as amazing wines from all around the world.
It's a 1min walk down the road from the apartment.
As you probably know, wine is a big deal in Spain. Well, if you're into wines, at Lavinia you'll feel like a kid in a candy store. It is a wine lovers dream.
If you like wine, then you must go to Lavinia and try some. It's that simple.

14 Plaza de Sta. Ana[Tried + Tested] The Radio Rooftop Bar is on the 7th floor of the ME Meliá Hotel on Plaza Santa Ana. It's in a lovely part of the city where you can enjoy a great view and some chilled drinks.
[Tried + Tested] The rooftop bar at the Urban Hotel is a great spot, but so is the street level cocktail bar. Drinks are pricey, but the ambience and cocktails are great.
