The cottage, called Lucignanello, it is an old historical building placed 2km away from Pienza, in the heart of Val d'Orcia.
Being our guests you would have the chance to be in an exclusive, historical and stunning environment.
All the rooms have INDEPENDENT entrances from the patio and can be independently rented out.

Our family has chosen to work in the countryside using the organic farming since over twenty years. Our philosophy is to use organic products.

The studio apartment called OVILE (sheepfold) is the sunniest apartment in the house.
It is composed of a double room, a large dining room with a stone fireplace and a cooking area, and bathroom with shower. The terracotta-tiled floor and the raftered ceiling make this apartment cosy and warm.
Before the renovation of the house, this wide space was used as a sheepfold.
The farmhouse Lucignanello stands on the living rock, which has been used to decorate the surrounding annexes.
Inside the house, natural and traditional materials have been preserved: stone, terracotta, and wood.
The principles of ecological design have been followed in the renovation of the house, and non-toxic water paints have been used for the furniture, the raftered ceilings and all the wooden items.

The price includes: accommodation for one night for 2 people, internet wi-fi hot spot, towels, sheets, kitchen towels.
The wi-fi internet connection is free of charge

The price does not include: Breakfast, olive oil, dish washer, tourist tax (1,00 € per person per night).

You will be in the hearth of Natural Park of Val d'Orcia where most of the time the silence rules, but at the same time only 2 km of dudty road from Pienza.

The magnificent natural scenery of the Val d'Orcia that extends through the Tuscan hills was inserted onto the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004.

Val d'Orcia fuses art, landscape and ecosystem in one geographical space, and is the expression of a series of marvelous natural characteristics. It is also the result of and testament to the people that has long-inhabited it. In fact, according to UNESCO this Valley is an exceptional exemplar of the way in which a natural setting was redesigned during the Renaissance (14th-15th Centuries), reflecting the ideals of good governance in the Italian City-State. Additionally, these splendid localities were celebrated by the painters of the Sienese School, which flourished between the 13th and 15th Centuries.

We live in Val D’Orcia, the land of clays and gullies; a few steps away from Pienza, in a typical cottage called Lucignanello on a hill surrounded by olive trees and ancient oaks. In this particular environment we try to share with our guests the taste for silence, simplicity and the sweetness of the country life, in terms of quality and rhythms.
Here we establish Agriturismo Lucignanello, we have only 4 rooms to give the guests a exclusive and not crowded place where they can relax and enjoy magical views.

Siamo una famiglia che da oltre vent’anni ha scelto di lavorare in campagna con il metodo biologico. Ci troviamo in Val d’Orcia, la terra delle crete e dei calanchi; vicinissimi a Pienza, sulla sommità di una collina in un casolare chiamato Lucignanello circondato da olivi e querci secolari. In questo ambiente cerchiamo di condividere con gli ospiti il il buon cibo, il silenzio, la semplicità, la soavità dei ritmi e della qualità della vita.
