#5 Freshwater is a ground floor apartment that opens onto a lovely stargazing deck and beautiful gardens. The apartment offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all air-conditioned. From the patio you have views of the ocean and in a few steps you can be on the beach enjoying the white sands between your toes and having a casual swim in the cool calm caribbean waters. A short walk up the beach you can also enjoy our local hot tub called the HOT POT.

Freshwater Bay is one of the best kept secrets on the island. Your journey begins when you take that turn off of the Spring Garden Highway onto a private road. Your first view is the large Light and Power station, however as you start to wonder if you have made the right decision booking this apartment, you round the first corner where you find a small fishing village with men attending to their boats and roaming chickens casually going about their daily routine. As your concerns heighten about this location, Freshwater Bay sign emerges on your left. Upon opening the wooden gate to the facility your breath is immediately taken away by the beauty of this place. The vibrant colourful flowers and tropical fauna that line the small pathway towards the lush gardens sprinkled with coconut trees welcome you in. Meandering down the short pathway the beauty of the stunning calm ocean boasts of hundreds of shades of blue is just steps away. Now surrounded by the tropical garden you are enticed to sit under the shaded palm trees to read, lay into the loungers and sun bath or sit in the Gazebo and watch the cruise ships or the local fishing and sail boats pass lazily by. However before you get lost in just what to do first you have to get settled.
#5 is on the ground floor and opens into a large lounge area with a bar and small freezer ideal for entertaining. The living room outfitted with the bar, large smart tv and spacious couch flows onto the enclosed patio and extended sun bathing deck which are all ocean facing to enjoy the views from every angle. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen which is fully outfitted with a stove, fridge, microwave and various cooking utensils. Down the short corridor is the first bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. This room has two single beds and A/C unit with good cupboard space. Of course you really only need bathing suits at Freshwater Bay. At the end of the corridor is a Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower that also is used by the large master bedroom that has an A/C unit and ample cupboards. The master has a large California king size bed. The third bedroom is entered through the master and also has it’s own shower and bathroom. In addition, this room has it’s private entrance to the car park. Also being outfitted with A/C, cupboards and a double bed. The apartment has for your use and enjoyment a large smart TV. We DO NOT have cable or telephone.
So now you are all settled into your new home, we invite you to relax and start your adventure. Walk north along the pristine beach and have a swim in the calm ocean. Walk south pass the local fishing village and this would take you as far as the outer parameters of Bridgetown. Upon this walk you would encounter the local Hot Pot just outside of the Light and Power plant, stop and enjoy a dip in this warm water enjoyed by many locals. If you are around for Thursday night, visit Bush Bar next door for the local brew and great tunes of Karoke night!
#5 is Home away from Home so come and enjoy and live like a Bajan.

Bush Bar on Thursday nights can get noisy but once you turn on your AC usually you do not hear them. It is a great place to visit with good music, food and friendly people. A true Bajan Bar and a great experience.
The power plant next to the fishing village sometimes uses their generator and you will hear a slight hum and exhaust rushes out. However this is occasional and once in the AC you do not hear it.

The neighborhood is small and besides the Freshwater complex there are a few houses, "little village", two "rum shops" that serve great food and drink of course. (Thursday night at Bush Bar is great) and a small fishing village. (great to get fresh local fish). The entrance off the highway does look very industrial with the large light and power station, however once you round the corner after the station you will experience a true secret garden at Freshwater. A quiet cul-de-sac on a fantastic beach with lovely views. Ideal for people that wish to relax and experience the local, "bajan" laidback way of life.

Chris and I are born Bajans (Barbadians) and love to welcome people to our island to experiance the beauty and the culture. We are always happy to help our guests with any information they need and suggest great places to visit, tours to experience or places to shop. Chris loves to cook and his specialty is scrumptious seafood dishes to die for. He does like to experiment on other dishes and uses ideas from his favorite TV shows - diners, drive-in's and dives and chopped. (That is the only channels our TV seems to have!, smile) As a real estate agent, a job I truly love, when I am not doing this I enjoy working out at the gym, going to the beach and doing hikes around the island. Barbados is a beautiful place and when you take the time to do hikes you truly realize this. To be hosts on Airbnb gives us the opportuinty to meet so many new people from different parts of the world and make lifelong friends whilst hopefully making their holiday a dream come true.
