Seven cottages from the beach, a two minute walk up the private road.Built in 1924 it is a one of a kind , "Legacy Cottage." Wood beams, hardwood floors, two original bed frames ( the double beds,) warm, golden panelling. Private, three mile beach; swim, see spectacular sunrises! Relax on the screened in front porch, or cocktail on the private back deck. Huge yard! Shower indoor or out in a wonderful outside shower! Sit fireside, sip wine, relax, in this one of a kind, warm, inviting cottage!

This cottage is unique because of its1924 authenticity: original floors, beams, woodwork, front and back doors, upstairs bathroom medicine chest and towel rack, wicker chairs,, front bedroom mirror and chest of drawers, and two original, iron bed frames in front bedrooms. It has one of the few extra lots in the area and provides much privacy on the back deck. It is in a wonderful family neighborhood that is quiet, yet inviting. The private road has only 16 cottages and the beach, at low tide, and two hours on each side of low tide, is walkable for miles. It is NOT walkable at high tide. Each season has its own beauty and the cottage, open from April until beginning of December, is a wonderful respite from the hectic world we live in. Come back to yesteryear and enjoy a unique, and wonderful experience.

It is a very friendly neighborhood where people look out for each other. The Rexham General Store, just up the road west, has good morning coffee. The Hop in Brant Rock, a part of Marshfield, is a mile south on 139 and has great breakfasts and lunches. So does the MUG in Marshfield Center one block back from the main road, next to Ocean State Job Lot, the Business Center and Marshalls Clothing Store. A great lunch and dinner restaurant is Grill 139 with made to order food. Also The Sun Tavern in Duxbury is the perfect romantic dinner place with excellent cuisine and a true touch of New England. I highly recommend this one! There are two grocery stores in town, Star Market and Roche Bros, both good. There is a fresh seafood store in Brant Rock with daily catches run by a man now in his mid nineties! The Brant Rock Market is a family run business and people line up for their take and go breakfast sandwiches and fabulous submarine sandwiches. There are lots of other restaurants in town to explore, too. Boston is but 25 miles north and Plymouth 10 miles south, both historic places to visit.

I am a writer, an artist, an educational speaker, and a former teacher. I love to travel and experience new things. Thirteen years ago, I ran into my best friend as a little kid (ages 6,7, 8, 9), a summer friend! It was instant love at first sight. We eloped and are living happily ever after!! I have written about it under the pen name M.K. Caldwell. I realized that in fact, it was no coincidence that I met my love. I had taken very specific steps to bring him into my life! I decided to pass on this information in the hopes of helping others. The book is entitled “How to find the love your life live happily ever after book one and book two by M. K. Caldwell. The proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Society as I am a 13 year survivor. By the way, in order to find my book on Amazon you have to type in the entire title and author. I also have other books on Amazon I wrote under other pen names: Kay O’Malley, Madison Harper Hunt, and Kay Bumpus O’Malley.. and again I donate all money to charity! I write for the pure pleasure of writing ! So, enjoy the cottage. It is magical and my favorite place in the world! I hope you find your own magic there, too!
