Kings Cross Station is a 15min tube ride from Tottenham Hale station and is home to a number of great locations. Visit coal drops yard for a shopping destination and a great foodie hotspot. Kings Cross Light Tunnel - Heals of London is a furniture shop along Tottenham Court Road. Towards the back of the store is this staircase which is one of the prettiest interior photo spots in London. I believe people often go into the store just to take pictures of this staircase. Wong Kar Wai would appreciate it :)

If you have heavy luggage, you can get the 205 or the 214 bus from Kings Cross (stop E) to a bus stop on City Road very close to the flat: Central Street stop. If it's late at night and Angel Tube station is closed, the N205 does the same route throughout the night.
