Retro Silver Lake Studio with a Solar-Heated Pool
Studio apartment with separate kitchen. Lots of light. Located just south of Silverlake resouvier and overlooking a park, Apt has private entrance and access to pool and patio. Private entrance is through a courtyard shared with our home. In addition to a full size bed with new tempur foam mattress, there is a full size Murphy bed for kids or other adults plus a sofa. We would not recommend 4 adults but two and two kids would be comfortable.
Within walking distance-LA Mill Coffee, Cafe Tropical, a 7-11, nail and hair salon, restaurants, several speciality clothing and craft shops. Less than a mile south is Sunset Blvd with lots of nightlife. To the east is Echo Park, downtown Los Angeles, Dodger stadium. Hollywood is 2 miles west. Freeways 101 and 5 are within one mile drive. This is a proper apartment registered with the City of Los Angeles and thus gets a safety inspection once a year.

Pool has a lock on the gate for security. Entrance doors have keypads- no keys.
As little and and much as desired. Just say "hey, give us some ideas on where to go" or just treat this as a hotel stay and we'll stay away. We live next door so some one is usually here. We have a Boston Terrier dog who shares the yard. He's very people friendly.
The apartment is in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Central Los Angeles. Downtown is 12 minutes away by car. Access to two major freeways is easy. The area is a great base for walking and exploring. Ride Share is typically $45 from
LAX.
Bus stop is on the corner. Metro link station a $6 Lyft or Uber ride away.
LAX is 25 to 75 minutes away depending on time of day by car. Alt is Flyaway bus service between LAX and Union Station. $9 plus taxi or Lyft to Silverlake.
Burbank Airport is 25 minutes by car.
Walk to local restaurants and 7 11 store in 6 minutes and Sunset Blvd in 15 minutes.
Dodger Stadium is 12 minutes by car. Staple Center and Los Angeles Convention Center 15. Venice and Santa Monica have similar travel time as to LAX.
Angeles National Forest is 20 minutes north.
Apt is situated over our garage so there is a rumbling noise you will hear when the roll up door rises. No air conditioning. Fans and a breeze keep it comfortable but at times in summer it's going to be warmer. Swimming pool is right outside for cooling off.
We have a Boston Terrier dog who does roam the yard. He's very friendly but let us know if we need him confined during your stay.

We live in the main house on the property, the property is on a large hill and the guest house is below and very private. We are available if needed.
The house is a 10-minute walk from Sunset Boulevard, with hip coffee shops (La Columbe, Intelligentsia, and Roo), restaurants (Bar Stella, Cliff’s Edge, Sawyer, Pine and Crane, and Forage), juice bars, and stylish retailers, all within a few blocks.
We are a 10 minute walk to Sunset Blvd. in Silver Lake where you’ll find coffee shops ( La Columbe, Intelligencia and Roo ), restaurants ( Bar Stella, Cliff’s Edge, Sawyer, Pine and Crane, & Forage ), juice bars, and many stylish retailers ( Creatures of Comfort, Mohawk General Store, Aesop, and Mollusk ) all within a couple blocks! The best way to get around the rest of LA is by car. It’s easy to find a spot on our street and there’s no restrictions or permits required.

Modern, Cozy Silver Lake Guest House
Cozy hilltop guest house in Silver Lake. Quiet, residential area blocks from the reservoir and SL favorites Lamill, L&E, Edendale, Alimento, Broom St., Little Pine, Speranza, Hyperion Public, Square One...the list goes on. New Casper King mattress and 60 inch TV with surround sound. (Game of Thrones and Jurassic Park are amazing to watch here). Bluetooth speaker and Wifi, of course. Mini-kitchen has Nespresso maker, electric kettle, coffee/tea, microwave, fridge, toaster oven. Lots of parking!
