Large, second-story bedroom with walk-in closet in charming craftsman house. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, private garden with orange tree, covered front porch, easy street parking. Located in hip North Park neighborhood, two blocks from Balboa Park.

Your room:
Sunny, zen-like room. Double bed with 800 thread-count sheets and down comforter. Clean new carpet (there is a no-shoes rule in the house); bookshelf with large mirror; glass desk; bedside table and lamp; walk-in closet with built-in shelving; enormous, west-facing picture window that frames the sunset!

The house:
The bedroom is located on the second floor, which also features a full bathroom with tub and shower (fresh linens and basic toiletries are provided), as well as two other bedrooms. Guests also have access to a full bath located on first floor, off the kitchen.

The spacious downstairs is perfect for entertaining and relaxing. The open plan living/dining room features beautiful, original craftsman woodwork; a dining table that seats 8; a leather couch and chairs, and a cozy fireplace. The large, eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and dishware; full laundry room. The first floor also includes two other rooms, which are inhabited by friendly roommates. The entire house features natural gas/forced air heat and ecological lights.

The garden:
Behind the house and off the kitchen is a beautiful back yard and garden with three distinct areas: (1) The deck is a lounge area furnished with a wicker couch, wooden chairs with cushions, and a bench coffee table. (2) The outdoor dining areas, next to the banana tree, is comprised of a glass patio table, four chairs, and an umbrella. (3) The coffee nook, an intimate area under a orange tree, features two large, high-back chairs with ergonomic head and lumbar support, as well as with a cafe table.

Parking:
There is plenty of free parking on the street.

Perfect accommodation for tourists, visiting scholars, etc. We will be happy to provide the information, directions, and recommendations you need to make your stay great.

Guests will share the house with two friendly, European roommates who live downstairs, and occasionally an additional Airbnb guest. Sharing dinners, breakfasts, and conversation is welcome. Our Italian roommate is an excellent cook and frequently prepares delicious, homemade Italian meals for a fair price.

The house is centrally located between two of San Diego's hippest neighborhoods, North Park and South Park. This culturally diverse, walkable and bike-friendly area is home to Craftsman cottages, cafes and diners, coffee shops, several microbreweries, boutiques, and the North Park Farmers' Market (Thursdays, 3-7 pm). The North Park Theater and the "Ray Street Arts District" are also bastions of creativity in the area. There is a 24-hour CVS Pharmacy in the neighborhood.
