San Juanillo is surrounded by beautiful beaches and is home to a local population of approximately 300 people. Usually you can get just about everything you need right in town. Although it is just a small fishing village, it has a local grocery store, a few bars, and a few restaurants. Luckily it still maintains a “small-town” vibe, and is certainly unlike the surf town of Nosara. Many of the locals in Nosara actually like to come up to San Juanillo for the day to enjoy its more secluded beaches. Even though it is relatively quiet, there are several incredible places to eat and drink. The town offers access to activities like yoga, fishing, diving, sea kayaking, and horseback riding.
