Welcome to Timber Landing!
Located right on the Wisconsin River in Necedah, WI, this “tiny house” is a 1 bedroom/1 bath park model trailer with an open loft, kitchen, and living area. The park model sits on 8 acres with 375 feet of waterfront. Dock steps give you access to your own pier and a place to kayak and canoe. This is a great place to stay for couples, families with kids, or a small group. The property is dog friendly and is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature.
საცხოვრებელი სივრცე
The park model “tiny home” has one bedroom with a queen bed. Additional areas to sleep include an open loft with a queen bed and twin floor mattress, as well as the sofa bed in the living room. The heat and air conditioning works great in the tiny home and will keep you comfortable during your stay.
If you need more room to spread out there is a bunkhouse with four twin beds. We provide some linens in the bunk house but you might want to throw in an extra sleeping bag if you plan on sleeping out there. The bunkhouse is Amish built and does have electricity, but only fans to heat and cool.
There is a 5 person hot tub on the deck of the tiny home that is yours to use during your stay. A wood-fired cedar barrel sauna is on property as well, and is available for use by our guests. However we ask that only guests that have experience with wood-fired saunas make use of it during their stay. If you have questions about use of the sauna just let us know!
There is a fire pit and a limited amount of wood is provided. Depending on how many fires you might want to bring some with you when you come.
The entire space is yours while you are here. Please be aware that it is 8 acres of land surrounded by woods. You will see animals while you are out there which include deer, turkeys, and possibly a fox or two. Please be aware of this possibility during your stay.
The dock is just steps from the home and yours to use while you are here. The water level at the end of the dock is 3-4 feet. Please check before you jump and DO NOT attempt to dive off the end. We do have four kayaks and one canoe that you can make use of during your stay, along with paddles and life jackets. Please be aware that while the stairs are very sturdy and have anti-skid treads the incline to get down to the lake is somewhat steep and you will have to carry the kayaks up and down to get them in and out of the water. Watch your step and please be careful!
We try to provide everything we can to make your stay comfortable; however, we do call this “glamping” for a reason. While there is hot and cold running water to the home as well as a hot/cold outside shower, it may not have the water pressure you are used to in your own home. The house is also connected to a large holding tank, much the same as a camper would be, and does not have its own septic system. The kitchen does have a full-size oven, microwave, and good size refrigerator, but no dishwasher. There is a three burner gas grill with propane tank provided for your use. There is also no washer and dryer on the property at this time.
There is also no WiFi on the property at this time. We went back-and-forth on whether to add it for our own family get-togethers and decided we wanted a place to unwind from all the technology of every day life. Our cell phones are T-Mobile and are able to get 2 to 3 bars of LTE when we are at the property. We can make calls, access the Internet, and use most apps. However, it is not fast enough to stream most live programs. There is a TV in the cabin that is used for playing blu-ray/ dvd movies. We have some dvds in the cabin for movie night after a long day on the lake! There are also some books, games, and cards.
