Tomakin is a quiet neighborhood 20 minutes south of Bateman’s bay town centre. There is a local IGA a 5 minute drive down the road and larger grocery stores, Kmart and more can be found in Bateman’s Bay.

Barling’s Beach and Tomakin Cove are an 8 minute walk and are two of the most beautiful beaches on the Sapphire Coast. Take a walk to Melvillve lookout on the headleand between the two beaches to get a birds eye view of the stunning scenery.

Next door the the IGA you will find smokey Dans. Famous on the south coast for their delectable smoked meats, it’s a must try while you stay.

A further 15 minutes south and you will find yourself in Broulee. Stop in here for some family friendly swimming in Cullendulla creek, surfing lessons on Broulee beach or a local brew at Broulee Brewhouse.

Head 15 minutes west to the historic village of Mogo and Mogo wildlife park. Here there are a plethora of bespoke shops and eateries to explore while learning about the history of this scenic region of the eurobodalla coast. For some more extreme sports, there is a mountain bike park located just beyond Mogo.

If you’re feeling like a sea change, head into the luscious forests and freshwater rivers of Deua River valley 45 minutes north west.
