Get a true Telluride experience at the Wapiti Mountain Escape! Nestled among the trees in the Ski Ranches, this four-bedroom home offers plenty of space to sprawl out, commanding views and amazing outdoor space.

Bedding: King, queen, queen, three queens

Guests enter this home through the main entrance and are welcomed into a soaring open living space, complete with a living room, dining room and kitchen. There is storage by the front door for ski and hiking gear, as well as a powder room.

The vaulted living room offers floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of seating for entertaining or relaxing, a wood-burning fireplace (not available for guests), a flatscreen TV and access to the back deck.

The adjacent dining room has seating for 10 at a large, welcoming table. There are three barstools available at the breakfast bar for additional seating.

The kitchen is open and spacious and offers plenty of counter space for preparing any meal. The appliances, which are stainless steel, include a four-burner gas stove, double ovens, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker. There is even a second sink and a walk-in pantry.

Access to a large wraparound deck is via several doors in the living and dining room area. The deck has stunning San Sophia and sunset views, seating, and a grill.

Up a half flight of stairs is the two-car garage. Continuing up another half flight of stairs is the master bedroom, which has soaring ceilings, a king bed, and access to a large exterior deck with seating. The ensuite bathroom has a large double vanity, separate water closet, and a step-in shower/tub combination with a glass surround and window.

Up another half flight of stairs is the family room, which offers a separate living space for families to spread out. The room has a flatscreen TV, comfortable sectional couch, game table for four, and a small desk and office area.

Down the stairs from the main entrance on the lower level is another living space. This cozy area has sliding doors that access the lower level patio, which has a private hot tub.

This level has two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed that share a jack-and-jill bathroom, which is also accessible from the living area. The bathroom has a dual vanity and a separate lock-off with a shower/tub combination and a glass enclosure.

Up a half flight of stairs is the fourth bedroom, which is great for kids. It has three queen beds, a flatscreen TV, and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a single vaniety and a shower/tub combination with a glass enclosure.

The Wapiti Mountain Escape is located in the Ski Ranches neighborhood of Mountain Village, which offers privacy and great views. The Mountain Village Core and the ski slopes are just a short drive away. Hiking, biking and plenty of other outdoor activities are located right outside your front door.

Each of our properties is booked for you and your party only, so no shared kitchens or couch surfers involved. Each condo complex or home has unique amenities for use by residents and guests. Parking is beginning to be a problem for this tiny mountain community, especially during the height of the summer season. Telluride is a small town – only 12 blocks long east-to-west, and 6 blocks wide north-to-south – nestled in the hanging valley at the headwaters of the San Miguel River. Surrounded by 13,000+-foot peaks, there are also at least 4 notable waterfalls spilling into the valley. The sister-community of Mountain Village became an official town in 1996, and is spread out over the high-alpine terrain on the southwest side of the ski area, with views of many Rocky Mountain peaks, including the Wilson Range.
The two town centers are connected by the Gondola, the country’s only FREE aerial public transportation. The 8-passenger enclosed gondola cars come through the stations every couple minutes, taking just 15 minutes to travel over the ridge. These are the key unique features that ended up putting Telluride on the map. Everything else is frosting on the cake.
