Enjoy the park while sitting on a bench on the town square. Several businesses on town square such as Great Scott! Community Market, grab a burger & bowl a game at the Winchester Bowl, or go look for vintage or new items at Square Trade or Alice’s Attic open Thurs-Sun. Grab a meal & cold one at The Fire House Bar & Grill behind the County Courthouse or play the slots at The Dog House on the west side of the square while sipping on your favorite alcoholic beverage. Take Cherry Street west to the Peppermill and enjoy some soft serve ice cream and a broad menu to choose from. On the outskirts of town on Route 106 pick up essentials at Dollar General. Next to DG is Tipsord's Landscape. Stop in and check out their store for gift items.

My husband Chuck Frost & I are newly married 50 somethings who love to travel & experience new people, places & things. We've enjoyed many AirBnb stays throughout the US & even New Zealand. We live in a small Midwest town of 1500 people located 15 mns east of the Illinois River & 5 miles off I-72. We're w/in an hour's drive to Grafton, IL where the Illinois & Mississippi Rivers meet; Hannibal, MO where Mark Twain grew up & the state capital of IL where Abe Lincoln once lived in Springfield. We love our dogs Sam & Coco, love to cook, camp & be outdoors, enjoy live music & the arts, and are very family & community oriented. My husband's family has lived in this community for over 150 years, & once owned a bank, hardware store, & pharmacy on the town square. You can visit The Old School Museum & see the original soda fountain out of the Frost Pharmacy. Come visit our friendly, quaint town & enjoy looking at the old historic homes, visit the businesses around the beautiful town square, or enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling countryside & Illinois River! We look forward to meeting you.
