Social distance with ease as you listen to music in our front parlor, sit and visit on the wraparound porch looking out on some of the finest homes in Jacksonville, take a walk in the gardens and stroll our historic neighborhood. Neighbors include Ayers Mansion, Illinois School for the Deaf and Illinois College.

Experienced innkeeper celebrating the 10-year anniversary of our award-winning Blessings on State Bed & Breakfast. It's "all in the details," from high-end linens to comfortably elegant furnishings to a dimmer for the chandelier over the claw foot tub in the Tranquility suite, we work hard to anticipate your needs. Our terrific online reputation backs our claims.

I'm a published author and public speaker, I enjoy meeting new people and visiting new places. I love staying in other B&B's, but I enjoy hosting even more! Innkeeping is my passion and, with just two guest suites, it's my lifestyle.

I'm the adoptive mother of five, ranging in age from 43 to 15 and I've worked in the child welfare field since the mid-80's. Porch sittin' at Blessings is one of my favorite past times - spending time with friends, enjoying a cup of tea, reading, telecommuting... it's always more fun on the front porch!
