Our non-smoking place is a 40 min drive to Algonquin Park, walking distance to downtown, public beaches, trails, and events such as Nuit Blanche North, Band on the Run, Huntsville Festival of the Arts and Cinemuskoka. A bus stop is across the street.
The cabin is cozy (81sq. ft), tucked away road-side in our backyard, sugar maple, butternut, pagoda dogwood, willow, pine, spruce, crabapple and lilac trees around the perimeter.
We welcome guests of the LGBTQ community and all backgrounds.

Our four-season 9x9' cabin and mulched outdoor area are for your private use within our yard, as well as a shared washroom (toilet, sink, shower) inside our home.
A toaster oven and kettle with french press and coffee and tea, basic kitchen pans, utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, dish pan, soap, tea towel, trivet, cutting board, oven mitt, salt & pepper are found within the cabin, as well as a feather duvet and extra blankets, towels, sheets and pillows.

Three blocks East and down the hill, our local high school is located across from the Muskoka River which winds through town. A small beach and picnic area are located nearby at the river mouth meeting Fairy Lake. Lions Lookout, which is a wonderful vantage point for viewing all of Huntsville and surrounding lakes and hills, is also close by—spectacular vistas any season!

I love to travel (so far...all across Canada, parts of the US, Cuba, Northern & Central Europe, Japan, Australia's east coast, Santorini); much of that's been done out of a backpack, sleeping in a tent, homestays, hostels, communities, the band's tour bus, motels, & five-star hotels.
I love music (influencing my own music include--Jane Siberry, Kate Bush, Emily Haines, Imogen Heap, Lucinda Williams, EmmyLou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Sufjan Stevens, Sarah Spring). I love to read fiction, poetry, history books, good stories, take in a flick, hike through the bush (preferably in snow), make & share a meal and drink with friends and family. We are a busy family, in and out of our home and the yard during most days. Happy to answer any questions you may have via text, or in person if you see us in the yard. Our 4+year old will introduce herself if she sees you--she is an extrovert--and our dog, Sirius, will also want to fetch anything you throw for him.
