We’re just off of beautiful Lake Alice, in the heart of vintage Fergus Falls. 5 min walk or drive to everything! What did our last guests say when they walked in the front door? Such a great place to rest and relax, this late 1890's home with all of it's character sits in a lovely neighborhood. It's all yours - no shared spaces, and 6 sleep comfortably on queen beds in the 2 bedrooms, plus a full size, premium 6” tri-fold memory foam floor mattress for the living room (it’s very nice!). We have a fully stocked kitchen, a squeaky clean bathroom, cozy fireplace, wifi & smart tv with apps for Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Video, etc., a DVD player & selection of movies, comfy sofa and recliner, games and books, toys, high chair & a pack n play for kiddos, a kennel for your furry friend, a charcoal grill w utensils for grilling, and a great deck & fire~pit out back for relaxing. Simple breakfast of a fruit and nut granola bar and coffee, tea, and cream are provided for each guest’s first morning with us. We're just off of beautiful Lake Alice, (you can see it from our house, we're just across the street), and the sunrise & sunset walks on the dedicated walking/workout trail are wonderful! You'll meet lots of locals - it's a town favorite. A short 5 minute walk downtown to the vintage, yet vibrant, old town Fergus Falls. We love the coffee shops & restaurants, the River Walk, unique shops, bookstores, antiques, pubs, art, clothing stores, gifts and groceries. We're just 5 minutes off the freeway, and close to everything. We're happy to host business travelers (we're business ready), sightseers, birders, hikers and bikers, families with kiddos, frequent guests, or those just passing through. We've thought of everything to make your stay as restful and comfortable as possible. Welcome to Whitford!

We love being "on" Lake Alice. The neighborhood is beautiful, with interesting architecture and tree-covered streets, in the heart of Fergus Falls. Locals are out here all day on the walking/circuit training path, or just sitting on a bench or picnic table, enjoying the sunset, geese and ducks. There is an ice skating rink and warming house on Lake Alice in winter, too! We are super close to the Central Lakes Bike Trail, municipal indoor hockey rink, YMCA, The Center for the Arts, schools, churches, Mn State College, the "Rookery" on nearby Grotto Lake, antique shops, downtown theater, Prairie Wetlands nature center, Ottertail River canoe/kayaking, unique shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Our favorite places to eat, within walking distance are: The Fabled Farmer, Uncle Eddie’s Ice Cream Shop”, Steel Wheels & Dining Car 423, the Viking Cafe, Cally's Coffee shop, Union Pizza & Brewery, The Spot, Dairyland, and Fiesta Brava. If you wish to drive, you could go to Mable Murphy's, Applebees, Perkins, Hunan Spring Chinese, Pizza Ranch, Dairy Queen, Big Chief, American Legion or the VFW, plus all sorts of fast food, not more than 5 minutes drive from our place.

Hi, I am Bee, and my hubby of 32 good years is Paul. We live in MN, and keep 3 Airbnb apartments in Eau Claire, WI, because 3 of our 5 kids live there. It’s nice to have a lovely place to stay when we visit them, and then rent them out in between so others can enjoy them. We just added a new Airbnb apartment in Fergus Falls, where we live, because we've had so much fun with our Wisconsin AirBnB’s ! We love hospitality, love to travel, and have a very busy and beautiful life. Our large family is close-knit, we have guests over a lot, and love family traditions and holidays. We camp, timeshare, airbnb, and always have an annual pass to our nation's National Parks (Yellowstone is our fave), as well as our MN State Parks (Itasca is our fave). Our last Airbnb was to Boston, and it was wonderful! Next will be California. We've traveled all over the US, & abroad to Rome, Paris, Chad Africa, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Mexico & Canada, and we would go to Kauai every year if we could afford it! Our family is sporty, musical, and fun-loving. We love the Eau Claire bike trails, farmer's market, coffee shops, art & music scene, and parks. We love the community of Fergus Falls, the lakes, bike trail, kayaking, coffee shops, and nearby Maplewood State Park. We couldn't live without our pets, especially our Chocolate Lab "Holly", or our Orange TabbyCat "Guster". When we host, we want you to stay in a warm and cozy place that's super clean and comfortable. When we are guests or hosts, we are friendly, clean, polite and trustworthy. Nice to meet you! God loves you. Life is Good. :)

Our dear friend Melissa is our fabulous housekeeper and she co-hosts and communicates for us when we're out of town. There's a keypad with your own private code for entry, so you can come whenever it's convenient for you to check in. We live nearby, and are handy if you need anything, but for the most part, you've got a private space to call home.
