This is a beautiful bedroom and adjoining sitting room in the upstairs of my home with a private bath just across the hall. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, closet, and antique dresser. The sitting room has a chaise lounge, table and two chairs, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and TV with local channels & Roku. Just about a mile from UVA and the Downtown Mall on a large lot in a lovely neighborhood - many guests say one of their favorite things about staying here is meeting my pet goats!

The two room suite and bathroom you are renting are private. There is another suite on the same floor which I rent by the month - this tenant generally is only in the space during the week and so you are unlikely to cross paths but the front entrance front and foyer are shared, so please be conscientious and wear masks/give adequate space when necessary. There are also two other spaces that I rent on the lowest level of the house so please be considerate of noise levels when arriving or departing, particularly at early/late hours. There is one thermostat that controls the temperature for the top floor of the house - you may adjust this up or down a few degrees as needed. The bedroom has a ceiling fan and there is also a small table top fan to help regulate the temperature. This space is designed for one or two guests. Please note - there is no kitchen and laundry room available to use with the rental of this room.

Meadowbrook Heights is a lovely, centrally-located, neighborhood with many beautiful, older homes with well-tended gardens. My house is just about a mile from UVA grounds and the Downtown Mall.

In addition to running my Airbnb, I am a mom to my five-year-old son - Jake, and I keep three Nigerian Dwarf goats as pets - Harvey, Edward, and Floyd - who I refer to affectionately as "the boys". They are great entertainers and helpful, if somewhat lazy, ecologically friendly stewards of the yard. They are also the subject of a children's book I am writing.

My father bought this house on Rugby Road while he was a student at UVA in the 1960's. It was his favorite place to be and I am passionate about restoring the house and grounds as a way to honor his memory. My wonderful and talented partner, Tim has been instrumental in helping me tackle my long list of projects and improvements. We have a son, Jake, who was born in 2016.
