We are located 5 minutes walk to Waikawa Bay Beach and close by nice walking tracks.
The room is private. Kitchen, laundry, living are shared. Bathroom shared
with other guest. Unlimited internet.
A Homestay in the true sense of the word with private lockable room & off road parking. A spa bath can be available on request.
We enjoy hosting people having travelled to many countries backpacking & worked in hospitality.
It is a 20-30 minute walk or 5 minute drive into Picton Township.

We are have a 'country' aspect looking out over the farms but still close to town. It is a private property with all day sunshine. Unlimited internet access is available to all guests and we have a portacot which fits nicely into the guest room should it be required for a couple with one baby. The living area's fully fenced. Including child safety gate to keep toddler in living area if required.

There is a front deck area that opens out from the lounge and gets lovely evening sunshine and a side decked area which has a bbq. The living is open plan through the kitchen dining lounge. It is literally a homestay situation so you share the living areas with us as the hosts but the bedroom is private and lockable. There is a parking area for a vehicle right outside the front door. We do have a cat. Also a small dog but has her own area (not inside).

We are happy to give our guests space if they would like but also happy to interact and share dinner together if they so like and provide continental breakfast in the mornings if required.

We are flexible with arrival times having worked in the hospitality industry in Picton. We are aware of potential delays in arrivals with ferries and road traffic and as long as you keep in contact we can make arrangements with respect to keys should your journey be unexpectedly delayed.

It is close to the Waikawa Bay (5 -10 minute walk) and the marina. There are water taxis that take people to the Queen Charlotte Track - for a day trip or a number of nights. Lochmara Lodge daytrip is a favourite with guests but is dependent on the time of the year. There is a variety of cafes and bars in the township and Wine Tours - a day or half day available with pre arranged pick up from the homestay. The Tirohanga Track is also a favourite with our guests with fantastic views of the Marlborough Sounds. The Snout track is another favourite and takes you out onto the penisula, often you see seals and other sea life playing here. Karaka Point is a 10 minute drive, the site of an old Maori Pa, it also has stunning view of the Sounds. There is an Eco Tour Dolphin Watch Tour and Swim with the Dolphins available from Picton.
