The lower level/apt. of our home sits on the Red Rock cliffs of lowa's largest lake, with private deck. The lake house provides a secluded picturesque getaway surrounded by natural habitat, with amazing views of some of the 5,250 acre lake. The space is very private and has steps.l

Overlooking the lake, and watching the eagles make it extra special. The comfortable exclusive 950 sq ft space provides everything you need for an enjoyable stay: Private living room and fully equipped private kitchen. Breakfast supplies included. Jaarsma almond pastry and a variety of coffee for the Keurig machine). Wood Fireplace, Wi Fi, in our rural area can be slow sometimes. So, please No streaming. We do have a few DVD movies or bring your own. TV, queen bed, private bath with designer walkin shower. Private entry and private lower deck facing lake and sunset, gas grill, fire pit with marshmellow sticks. Upper deck has a hot tub. Sharon's Red Rock Art Studio is available for a two hour class. Take home your own 16 x 20 canvas painting, $25.00. And, or take home one of Sharon's original paintings. Sharon also offers a Women's Day Retreat with Painting, Journaling including lunch and more. If interested we can provide you with beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler and point you to a private or public beach.

The house is located on a wooded, winding, 1 1/2 mile gravel road Surrounded by the lake and trees in the Painted Rocks subdivision. We are in the middle of a prime hunting and fishing area and can guide you to the best spots. Kayak water trail route maps will take you one and half miles or 30 miles. Map provided with distances to each stop. Kayaks available for rent. Bikes available in Pella for bike trail.

After semi-retiring as Pella business owners, Len and Sharon built a house overlooking Red Rock Lake. We have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
Len says everyday is like a vacation on the lake, but he does like to cut and split wood for the fireplaces. Sharon spends time in her studio and teaches art classes. We enjoy boating and kayaking. Len likes hunting with his son and grandchildren. We love books and have an extensive library of Christian books that you are free to explore while you are here.
We have traveled to many places in the world, but the one we have returned to many times, is Cozumel. It is our favorite spot to scuba dive.
We look forward to being your hosts and making your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
