Grandpa's Cottage
Grandpas Cottage is a pretty unique oasis.
The house was originally build by our great grandmother and uncle in 1968 as an upgrade from the semi turf house they previously lived in on the estate.
Grandpa and his brothers acquired the house after her passing in the early 1980's. By that time they had all moved to the city and shared the house as a summerhouse and a get away back to their roots. The house is by no mean luxurious or elegant. But it has a lot of soul and a beautiful peaceful wipe.

Bjarg is a summerhouse in Bjarnarfjordur, 25 km from Hólmavík.
Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords.
The house stands by the river that runs down the valley. It is a quiet place an excellent place to see the northern lights.
Swimming pool and geothermal hot tubs are located in Laugarhóll about 1 km from the house.
Outside the house is a fire place, surrounded with trees. Good for quiet evening under the sky and aurora borealis.

A friendly old farmhouse built in 1926, that has been renovated. There are no animals anymore, but a horse rental is only a 2 minutes walk.

close only a 2-3 minutes drive from Hólmavík village, which has several attractions, an excellent geothermal pool, a supermarket and a couple of good restaurants.
