Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary
Every parrot has a story. You’ll learn all about our rainbow-colored rescues in Kona’s only parrot sanctuary. We’ll start with our mission: to give every displaced parrot a nutritious diet, large space to fly, and a safe place to interact with other parrots (and people). Next, we'll take a walk around the sanctuary, where you can get to know the range of personalities of cockatoos, lovebirds, macaws, and more species. Throughout the tour, you will have many photo opportunities, especially with our well-trained parrots. Other things to note: Wear casual clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and bring a camera. Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary is also home to two rescue dogs, two Holstein cows and two sulcata tortoise. While we like to keep our group sizes small to enhance a personal experience, we are open to hosting larger family/friend groups with more than six individuals.
CHOCOLATE, VANILLA & COFFEE FARM TOUR
Aloha and Welcome as we gather around the information table at Sharkey's 100-year old farmhouse in the historic plantation village of Papaikou. Sample our freshly brewed 100% Hawaiian coffee or cacao tea, grown right here on the farm. From there we begin an easy walk through our orchards where you'll learn about Hawaiian coffee growth and production. Interwoven the coffee are rows of cacao trees. Depending on the time of year, you can usually see tiny flowers and large, multi-colored pods hanging from trunks and branches. Long, heavy vanilla vines grow up the cacao trees, nature's perfect trellis! We'll show you how each vanilla orchid is delicately hand-pollinated to produce long "hands" of vanilla beans. We'll then proceed to the "Slab" where the pods are 'cracked' before the fermentation process. Next we move into the greenhouse where flats of newly planted seedlings just beginning their journey grow alongside large screens filled with coffee and cacao beans slowly drying to perfection. Finally we'll move into our certified Chocolate Kitchen where the Magic happens! Who wants a taste? Free samples! Other things to note Refreshments (coffee/tea/water/juice) Tastings & Snacks Included Parents, please supervise young children at all times There are no stairs to navigate and the restroom is equipped with handrails Adults $75 + $3.75 tax=$78.75 Children $35 + $1.75=36.75

Madam Pele's Late Night Hike
Please note: Lava activity varies, DAY to DAY. While chances of seeing lava are HIGH, as with most things in nature, it cannot be guaranteed. This experience is being held as a late night cultural hike to Kīlauea, THE most active volcano in the WORLD, with history of the flows/eruptions, the volcanoes that formed the island, Hawaiian deities and more! You will leave with a greater appreciation and understanding of Hawaii and the culture! There is a slight glow in the sky currently. In this tour we will hike to one of the best viewing locations for lava on the island (when erupting), a lookout to where Madam Pele resides! The hike is less than an hour roundtrip and mostly flat terrain. I will also share mo’olelo (stories), cultural information, and the history of the 2018 lava flow which drastically impacted many things on island including the area we will be walking on. I also host lava hikes that are a bit longer than this tour with a more adventurous hike to a location you would not find on your own. This shorter hike often has other people and tour companies but the longer one does not have other tour companies. If you are confused about the options, please message me for clarification and to make sure you book the experience you are looking for :) I can customize any tour and add dates that are not on the calendar if schedule permits.

This Hawaiʻi immersive experience takes place in Hawaiʻi volcanoes national park! I will be guiding you through the fauna and beauties of the national park, exploring the trails and lava formations, and teaching you about the history of Kīlauea volcano and our native Hawaiian birds. As darkness falls and the stars emerge from the heavens we will travel the path of Keanakakoʻi on Kīlauea. On the path we will be engulfed by the beauty of volcanic ecosystems from vibrant forests to majestic barren lava flows. As we travel I will share the history and stories of the Hawaiian goddess Pele and teach you about Hawaiian astronomy. Upon the completion of our trek we will have arrived at a cliff point that allows us to look into the crater of Halemaʻumaʻu and it’s growing lake of lava that continues to grow our island of Hawaiʻi every day. Fat Tire E-Bike Tour - Volcanoes National Park
As a resident of the Big Island of Hawaii, and owner of Volcano Ohana, I will meet you and go over safety practices for these comfortable Fat Tire E-Bikes. As your host, I will take you through the gates of the Escape Route of Volcanoes National Park where you will experience all the park has to offer through the escape route trail and paved roads inside the park. As of January 2023, the National Park has changed all guided bike tours. We are only allowed to ride on paved roads and the Escape Route of the National Park. We will dismount the bikes and walk through a lava tube that is well lit and a short hike down stairs on a paved path from the trail. This is a great time to create memories with photos and taking in the natural sights of the forested paths with flowers and foliage. Back on the bikes, we will travel on roads to get to the different craters of the most active volcano on the planet. You will learn about different eruptions through the ages and how this volcano has created the Hawaiian Islands. The volcano has been flowing intermittently and is spectacular to see. Weather permitting! (Volcano may stop at any time!) The fat tires on the bikes offer comfort and stability. We will see much more of the park because we are on bicycles. We don’t have to fight for parking places and travel much faster through the park to get to the main points of interest.
