Sailing Adventures in Howe Sound Fjord
Prepare yourself for an adventure that balances the thrill of sailing Howe Sound's legendary winds with the breathtaking views of the Coastal and Tantalus mountain ranges.
We will depart from the docks in Squamish (about 40 minutes north of Vancouver on the highway to Whistler) and raise the sails as we pass beneath the legendary Stawamus Chief granite monolith and Shannon Falls.
Regardless of expertise or ability, you will learn about sailing and experience unbounded excitement as the wind fills our sails and accelerates our 40' sailboat across the waters of Canada's southernmost fjord. Take a turn at the helm or grind a winch to trim sails - the more involved you become, the more fun you will have.
A dance of colourful kites await as we tack offshore in the afternoon's inflow winds. The same topographic phenomenon that makes the area perfect for sailing attracts kiteboarders from around the world.
We will explore the northern section of the Howe Sound fjord and promise many photo opportunities that will stand amongst the highlights of your trip.
With a little luck, we may even sight a pod of dolphins or Orcas!
Welcome aboard - let's have some fun.

Wildlife hike in Metro Vancouver
We will be exploring a trail along a local blueberry farm in Coquitlam / Port Coquitlam. The hike is 8 kilometers and can take up to 3 hours depending on our pace.
The bears are hibernating until about April! But during late spring and summer, you might see black bears in the blueberry fields and sometimes they even cross the trail right in front of you. I've also seen all kinds of birds, including bald eagles, Kingfisher and blue herons. Turtles, deer, cougar, raccoon and coyotes live here too. I will take high quality professional pictures of my guests during the hike and share them online afterwards.
As much as I want you to see wildlife, I cannot guarantee that we will see any animals. They are a bit unpredictable. After all, they are wild animals! I went on dozens of hikes and showed hundreds of guests the amazing beauty of my "backyard". Every hike is different and we see different animals and scenery. One thing is for sure: It is beautiful! Even in the rain and the scenery is amazing! My guests really like the hike. Read my 100+ great reviews.
Other things to note
I usually take pictures along the way and share them, but you should definitely bring your own camera. It might also become hot and there is no shade or trees to get cover. Come dressed accordingly.

Here, you will have three hours at your leisure to brave the suspension bridge, explore the trails, or simply sit down for a bite and enjoy your surroundings before taking the gondola back down the mountain and heading back to Vancouver.
Chinese Steamed Bun Masterclass
Join us for a Chinese Steamed Bun Masterclass + 4-course meal in Vancouver’s False Creek neighbourhood.
The workshop will take place in Sophia’s studio kitchen. During this class, we’ll learn how to make traditional steamed buns. We'll work together to make the dough, roll the wrappers, and make the fillings from scratch. You'll learn how to steam the buns with a traditional bamboo steamer or pan-fry them for crispy buns.
My techniques are learnt and passed down from my family in China and Taiwan. In Taipei, I apprenticed at “Zhu Ji 朱記” a restaurant known for Northern-style buns, noodles, and dumplings. Steamed buns are a perfect example of humble ingredients that are transformed into delicious morsels with effort and time. Food is a love language in Asia and seriously, the best vehicle to bring people together.
You’ll learn how to “read” the dough, and work with different wrapping methods (rabbit-shaped buns!). We'll wrap the workshop with a meal where you’ll be able to enjoy the buns of your labour — served with complimentary dishes, tea and a housemade dipping sauce.

Sailing Experience on a 50' Luxury Yacht
We are happy to welcome you on our beautiful 2011 50 foot Jeanneau Sailboat that is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We depart Mosquito Creek and motor out of Vancouver Harbour into Burrard Inlet. You will see Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and unique views of downtown from the water. Once we pass under the Lions Gate Bridge we'll set sail and enjoy stunning views of the Vancouver area, Passage and Bowen Islands, Point Atkinson, West Vancouver, Howe Sound and even Georgia Straight. Sit back and relax whilst we serve up a light snack and a selection of Beers, Ciders and assortment of alcoholic beverages as you enjoy the views of English Bay. We have water and pop available for the minors, tea and coffee as well. If you're the more adventurous type, we can put you to work and teach you the basics of how to sail, trimming the sails and even take the helm.
After 2.5 hours on the water pack up the sails and motor back to Mosquito Creek and the picturesque views of Coal Harbour.
We offer all kinds of other experiences if your looking for something overnight, something more private or don't see a date that works for your group. Please reach out and well do our best to create a unique and once in a lifetime experience!
We do not have a min # of guest required to run the experience and have a covered cockpit should we see showers. We only cancel due to unsafe conditions.
Hiking with Goats
A guided hike through beautiful lake and mountain scenery, hosted by Pickles and Peanut, French Alpine goat brothers! Their "parents" come too, to ensure you are guided on the less-busy but still human-accessible trails.
On the two hour adventure we will:
- Meet at Grafton Lake parking area next to Grafton Road.
- Start with 10 minutes of intros and "Goat 101" to learn how to safely interact with Peanut and Pickles.
- Walk around the lake.
- Stop at viewpoints along the way, where we'll offer to take photos of you with the goats.
- End back where we started.
Private hike options include:
- Customized trail route such as up to the lookout in our main photo, or to cool natural tree forts!
- Special arrangements for a longer, more challenging hike to the summit of the iconic Mount Gardner.
A few considerations:
Families as well as dogs on leashes are welcome, but please note that Peanut and Pickles are still growing and their headbutt play behaviour may intimidate children and dogs.
You are welcome to request dates, but these will be considered "private hikes".
This adventure is "rain or shine"! The boys look adorable in their rain coats, so (pending a major storm) we'll enjoy whatever mother nature brings our way.
The boys can't wait to show you their beautiful backyard!
