Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs! Glassblowing Experience
I am offering an advanced session to learn the process of creating a coloured borosilicate glass pendant art work. This is a workshop session for maximum 3 people and lasts around 3 hours with a few breaks. During the session each participant makes minimum two ornaments and often more.. I teach how to blow a glass bubble with coloured dots on. Towards the end of the session I will create a several demo pieces to show tricks and techniques. The participant will get to keep the demo pieces as well. Please note the pieces made need to be annealed in the kiln for 6 hours after the session end so they will not be ready to take home. I will post them safely or they can be picked up. This can take up to three weeks. I also issue a little self made named certificate as a memory. Not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Under 18's need to be with an adult. Make a Manchester Bee Mosaic workshop & walking tour
Before we start to make our mosaic, we will meet outside the Mosley street entrance of Manchester Art Gallery to begin our walking bee tour. The art gallery is the perfect place to start. We will spot a few bees, explore the significance of the Manchester bee and look at some Pre-Raphaelite Art. Then onto Manchester Town Hall to pay homage to Alfred Waterhouse (1830 ~1905) the architect of the gothic style masterpiece. He had the vision for the incredible bee mosaic floor, the inspiration for our mosaic. Then over to Library Walk to see the flower mosaic floor and spot some more worker bees. As we make our way through the streets of Manchester we will see wonderful examples of architecture. Onto "Whitworth Locke Hotel” Co Working Space, Whitworth Street. Where we will settle in with a tea or coffee from Foundation Coffee. I’ll guide you through the mosaic process and techniques. Sharing my skills and tips on how to make your own mosaic bee. You’ll leave with a unique mosaic to treasure forever, a wonderful memory of your trip to Manchester. All materials will be provided. Enjoy a relaxing, creative time in this wonderful pattern-filled space and discover all the tips and tricks to pulling your very own print! I will guide you through the whole process and we'll each try a quick sample print onto fabric, to spark ideas and show you the ropes. You'll then have time to create paper stencils using scissors and/or scalpel, ready to print your final unique design onto either a tote bag or tea towel. Be creative with the many examples, stencils and imagery on display in my studio or bring along your own drawings, photos and ideas to work from. No experience necessary as wonderful prints can be made from very simple shapes and patterns! All inks are water-based and solvent-free. Price includes a choice of tote bag or tea towel for each participant. Most dates are currently set as private bookings, so you can enjoy the class with exclusive one to one tuition or share the experience with friends and family. Naze View Farm Alpaca Experience
You will arrive at the farm - which has wonderful views We will give you a short talk on the Alpacas; * how to keep you and your Alpaca safe * how to put your Alpaca at ease and gain the most from your experience. * the care and husbandry tasks for alpacas We will match you to the Alpaca which would suit you best, collect "the boys" and go for a walk around our farm - this will be through wooded areas and fields and we will stop to allow you time to pet the Alpacas and get to know them. PLEASE ENSURE YOU WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR. We will have cuddles and photo opportunities and hand feed them. You will be able to feel some of their fleece and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop if you wish to make some "fertiliser tea" once you return home to help your garden grow! You may have the chance to meet our Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. You will leave the experience with increased knowledge about these wonderful animals and benefit from some time in their company. There are 3 alpacas, each visitor will have 1 alpaca each, if you have a group of more than 3 people, please get in touch. Alpacas are friendly animals who have a natural curiosity. Silver ring making in a jewellers studio
I will show you how to make your own sterling silver ring or bangle from scratch. We will start by working out a design and the size needed first in copper wire or sheet, and how to create textures using a rolling mill, hammers or punches. I will show you how to correctly use a jeweller's piercing saw to cut the metal. After annealing the metal using a blow torch, you'll form the ring or bangle, using a mallet to shape it to the mandrel. I will demonstrate how to solder the join, and then you'll get a go! You will make the final piece in silver to your own personal design. And then it gets a final finish burnished, matt or shiny... and you get to put it on and it's yours to keep...or give to someone special as a thoughtful gift. Other things to note This workshop is suited to adults, and not available for children 16 or under. We are dog-friendly...Truffe my soppy springer spaniel gets excited when we have visitors, let me know if you would like a less exuberant welcome! There are stairs to reach the studio and bathroom.

This is a workshop session for maximum 3 people and lasts around 3 hours with a few breaks. During the session each participant makes minimum two ornaments and often more.. I teach how to blow a glass bubble with coloured dots on. Towards the end of the session I will create a several demo pieces to show tricks and techniques. The participant will get to keep the demo pieces as well. Please note the pieces made need to be annealed in the kiln for 6 hours after the session end so they will not be ready to take home. I will post them safely or they can be picked up. This can take up to three weeks. I also issue a little self made named certificate as a memory. Not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Under 18's need to be with an adult. London's Amazing Palaces & Parliament
We will see 20+ of London's most iconic sights in a 3 hour walking tour This part of London is a must see for all visitors to London. We will head through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, where we'll watch the world famous Changing of the Guard ceremony (Sun / Mon / Wed / Fri only) We will walk down The Mall, the red colored road that is adorned by two Royal Parks & two Royal Palaces Then we will head Parliament Square to see Big Ben & Westminster Abbey. Sights we will see along the way include Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column, Horse Guards, Downing Street, Parliament Square, Westminster Abbey & the Houses of Parliament. I will guide you on an exploration of one of London's most loved areas : Westminster It is the oldest part of London with buildings that are 1000 years old. Early Kings and Queens lived, got married and were buried in this part of London There are Palaces and Parks galore here. This area houses the UKs famous democratic institution, the Houses of Parliament (Westminster Palace) We will walk around this area and tell you the history, the fun facts and figures and also how the UK evolved from Roman to Medieval times to the modern day London Other things to note The afternoon tour : no changing of the guard. **Small group tour.
