Our simple condo sits kitty corner to the beautiful famous beaches of Lake Michigan and is located right downtown Frankfort.
The town of Frankfort is sweet, quant, and perfect for a quick getaway or a week long stay from all the busy hustle and bustle the year has brought you. If you want something that is low key and private the condo is perfect for you!
The downtown location makes it a quick easy walk to the beautiful beaches, docks, local shops, restaurants, bars and cafes Frankfort has to offer. There is so much to do and see whether you watch surfers and paddle boarders catch aquamarine waves or join them yourself, you will be sure to be entertained. If you walk down the Pier you may even be able to spot Sleeping Bear Dunes! There is nothing like Michigan beaches in the summertime, crystal clear, warm water with sandy bottoms. What more could you ask for!
Sleeping Bear Dunes is just a short drive north and has plenty of hiking trails, but if you feel up for the challenge you could try "The Dune Climb". Three and a half miles of walking in sand is not for the faint in heart! But is worth the serene beach you find at the end. If you want something a little less intense, Empire Bluffs may be the hike you'd like to take although it does not lead to a beach, the view of the water speaks for itself.
Arcadia Dunes are also a quick jaunt away, just south of Frankfort.
Other popular attractions are Frankfort Mineral Springs, Elberta's waterfront park, Point Betsie lighthouse, Elberta Bluffs, Green Point Dunes, Inspiration Point, Old Indian Trail, and Misty Acres.
Whether you want to spend all your time enjoying the sun and water with a much-needed hike and beach day, or having a relaxing afternoon drinking local wine and beer with your loved ones, Frankfort will surely be sweet and memorable for you.
The Betsie Bay is located across the street for quick beach access, you can enjoy a full sunrise or sunset anywhere you roam!
